Yucca Valley Awards Facility Builders Contract for New Animal Shelter.
Facility Builders and Erectors has been awarded the new ground-up project for the town of Yucca Valley, CA. The building project is constructing a new animal shelter consisting of two kennel buildings and one administrative office. The new site will be adjacent to the currently existing animal shelter. The animal shelter is a public works project, publically funded, and was voted on by the town's council in conjunction with the County of San Bernardino.
The project is slated to take 10 months and is scheduled to start in January of 2013. Facility Builders will be erecting three steel buildings for the kennels and administrative office. Site improvements will include the employee and public parking lots and landscaping. Out of eight competing bids, Facility Builders was successful in obtaining the Yucca Valley shelter project with a bid of $2.85 million.
